Dr. Harriet Presser (1936-2012)



The Re-Design of First Serve Miami's site was proudly donated by First Serve Miami's board emeritus, Edward Rubinoff in honour of his sister Dr. Harriet Presser, 75, a University of Maryland sociology professor and founder of the university’s Center on Population, Gender and Social Inequality, died of ovarian cancer May 1 at her home in Bethesda.

ADOPT-A-PLAYER PROGRAM


Starting in 2008, has given economically and socially challenged highly competitive children the opportunity to compete locally and nationally with the goal of using their talent and academics to attend college.



MOORE PARK INITIATIVE


Formerly known as the Out-of-School and Afterschool Program exposes and teaches children in Miami-Dade communities the game of tennis at Moore Park.

The Community Partner Program permits the collaboration of public schools, private schools, charter schools, foundations, churches and community parks with First Serve Miami (FSM).
